Iskali so jo dva tedna.

The Western Australia Police Force is pleased to confirm missing German backpacker, 26-year-old Carolina WILGA, was located safe and well on Friday 11 July 2025. About 4.20pm, a motorist was flagged down by Ms WILGA on the edge of Mouroubra Road in Bimbijy. Ms WILGA suffered exhaustion and dehydration, and minor injuries, including sunburn, extensive insect bites and an injured foot. She was conveyed by the member of the public to meet police in Beacon, before being conveyed by Police Air Wing to Perth for medical treatment. Police believe Ms WILGA became disorientated while travelling on an inland route through remote bushland, before losing control of her vehicle and becoming bogged. She spent 11 nights exposed to the elements and survived by consuming the minimal food supplies she was carrying, and drinking water from rain and puddles. She sought shelter at night where possible, including in a cave. Police had located Ms WILGA’s Mitsubishi Delica vehicle abandoned in the Karroun Hill area about 1.10pm Thursday 10 July 2025. Ms WILGA was located the next day approximately 24 kilometres from the vehicle. The WA Police Force would like to thank the member of the public who located and assisted Ms WILGA, as well as the Western Australian community and the media for their assistance with search efforts, which contributed to this outstanding outcome. The WA outback is made up of many different terrains which can be challenging to survive in. Police would like to take this opportunity to remind travellers of the importance of being well prepared for their journey, including: • researching road and weather conditions • carrying enough food, water and supplies • carrying an EPIRB or Personal Locator Beacon, which can guide emergency services to your location if activated • sharing your travel plans with other people If a traveller becomes lost, the best advice is to remain with the vehicle, as it provides a place of shelter and greatly increases the chances of the traveller being located by searchers. Ms WILGA is now back in contact with her loved ones thanks to the combined efforts of the Western Australian community.
